If you want an appointment sooner rather than later you have to call at 8:30am and will be in a queue for quite a while. You’ll then often only be able to get an appointment in 1-2 weeks or more. But they try their best

I am generally very happy with the service offered by the health centre

Add a tolerance period of 5 min to your checking in system. As far as I'm aware it doesn't allow you to check in if you are 1 min late and then you have to wait until receptionists are free but if they are busy and you have to wait you can be considered to be late for your appointment. This really affected me as I'm temporarily disabled and I found it stressful.

A superbly run surgery with sympathetic and competent staff, from the kind, efficient receptionists to the excellent, open-minded and highly professional GPs. Never a hint of sermonising or any suggestions of disapproval. To me, it reflects enlightened competent leadership at the top that filters through to a caring, good humoured and competent service. I am deeply grateful for the care I continue to receive there. I would like to take this opportunity to express my delight at the return of Dr Alice Boyd to the Health Centre as a locum. I would strongly urge the Centre’s government to do everything in their power to facilitate her retention on a long term basis.

Make sure you retain Dr Boyd!
